Volokh! And Prawfs Blog!!!!!

Oh. My. God! So I was really excited when they published my note, right? I mean, I was up really late, like, twice working on it and I tried and tried and read all kinds of sources (even this German guy, Max) to make it extra good. Then I sent it to the board (they are SO intimidizzyating) and they were all, "oh, this is really great" and I said "oh yeah?" and they said "yeah!" And then I got wasted.

Well then, a few days later, I wake up and check my every-morning-every-day reads and what do I see? My note everywhere - its on Volokh, Prawfs Blog, and even some guy named Bob Horowitz!!! If only my name were attached!!!! Then I would be famous!!(#)#!!!!

Anyway, now you, my besties, all know. The world-famous note about all the horrible capitalists, money-men, and people with pretty rocks is all over the world. I even got an email about it from someone in Nebraska. Nebraska! Someone all the way overseas!

I am SO excited about this. Feel free to leave as many comments as you want, but I got like a million over on Volokh.

OMG, HLSizzity!

First, I just want to say I am super sorry for the paucity (word of the day!) of updates on my law blog for law blogging over the past couple weeks. I have been one busy little 2L between all my (MAJOR) school obligations as well as the franizzity-frantic OCI demands. So many firms, so little time and SO many footnotes to cite-check. UGH!

Anyway, its obvi great to be back in Cambridge. DC was super fun but had one big problem. So many people who dont know about law! WTF! I would be, like, riding on the "Metro" (thats DC-speak for subway for all you little beltway-outsiders, lol) and I would start talking to the guy next to me about law blogging and he would be like, "whats a law-blog" and I would like, "Duh, its a blawg, you know, a b-law-og, aka law blog" and he'd be like "that is totally non-responsive to my question of whats a law blog'" and I would just get so frustrated that I would have to read my Glannon for twenty minutes to calm down (who else loves those cute little hypos?? Duh, everyone!). *sigh*. It just really chaps my hide (I worked with people from the "South" this summer and picked up that "phrase", rofl!) to have to, you know, explain to "regular" "people" what a "law blog" or "blawg" is. Its like, have you NEVER READ AN OLC OPINION BEFORE?????? Come on and get a life, folks.

Also fun about being back has been just hanging out with all the other HLS students. Something about this place just makes my tummy turn over and over. Its like Cambridge's two biggest exports are goats-milk cheese (apparently theres a big goat farm here, WHO'd HAVE THOUGHT?) and buckets of prestige. Except for all the LEFT-WING PROFESSORS. They are totally not prestigious. In fact, they are like the opposite of prestigious. Call it, UNPRESTIGIOUS. HA. I seriously heart this place (and Republicans! Shout out to Romney!).

OMG, also fun has been mixing it up with all the "liberals" about where they "worked" for the "summer." Im like, "yeah you funny little left-wing, BOZO, I worked for freedom, liberty and rights and stuff" and they're just like "oh yeah, well I worked for blah blah blah." I say "blah blah blah" because thats pretty much all liberalism is, "blah blah blah." LAME, doods, time to get a life and see the light.

Anyhow, I have to go now and do some "work" for my "journal" so I can be "successful." But I'll update soonizzity my readerizzities.

P.S. - Everyones a winner at Nixon Peabody! OMFG, that post on ATL by David "Lat" had me totally roflmao!

OMG

So, apparently, everyone at work found out about my law blog today. HelLO future-former-co-workers! Seriously though. This means that I have to moderate my content because I am going to have such a high "hit count." When that ole' SCOTUS nomination calls some day I dont want to have to explain TOOO much law blogging. Obvi.

But, one thing thats really be chafing my legal legs lately is all this government. I mean, I have like six governments. Theres my city government, the federal government, those damned tyrants who run the GW dorms and basically consider themselves a government. What I realized is that governmnet is just plain bad. Seriously. I dont want to hear a bunch of nonsense about the social contract because, as anyone whos taken contracts knows, its not binding if there isnt "mutual assent." See, "mutual assent" is basically really complex-and-fancy-law-school-speak for mutual assent or agreeing. If you dont agree, the law of contracts teaches that you cannot be bound. I never agreed to any of these crazy governments so, ipso facto, I am not part of their dumb contract. Take that, you statist-BOZOS!

Work

So its pretty disappointing but today is going to be my last day of work. Its really been a great summer. The late nights out debating freedom, the lunches at Booeymonger (we call it "boogey-monster" lmao), those charmingly rustic GW dorms -- it all combined to make a super duper summer.

Now I have to go back to Cambridge and "learn" from a bunch of "professors" about the "law." Honestly though. Its like some of these guys just dont understand the real world. Like that Mark Tushnet. He told me that paternalism is a good thing!?! LOL! Anyone who knows anything knows thats STUPID. I mean, I know what I want. Not you. So I should get to make my own decisions. Duh. Honestly, these crazy liberal profs just need a big old glass of reality punch.

So yeah, its been a good summer (except I kept getting hazed by a certain scotch-drinking-staff-attorney, ;-) to you, BM) but now Im winding down. So, to all my friends I say farewell as ye shall be missed (I love old-Englishy-speak!) and to the bureaucrats I say....NOTHING. rofl.
